Constituent Services
I know how frustrating dealing with bureaucracy can be. That is why I have an entire team dedicated to helping constituents get what they need from the federal government. If you need help dealing with a federal agency, complete this form and my team will get to work right away on your case.

A constituent reached out to my office after spending three frustrating days on the phone with Medicare with no resolution to their coverage problem. The doctor and the hospital involved were getting nowhere with Medicare, causing a much needed operation to be delayed twice. My office became involved and the problem was solved in less than 24 hours with the constituent receiving written approval from Medicare for the operation.
A constituent contacted my office about her Medicare reinstatement which has been processing for over 9 months. Facing a dire need to go to the doctor to have her injuries addressed, she contacted us for help in reinstating her Medicare Part B. Within two weeks of reaching out, Social Security processed and reinstated her coverage.
A constituent reached out to my office after never receiving last year's tax return. My casework team made contact with the IRS and found out that they had held her return because they couldn't verify her identity. We helped her compile the necessary documentation and she received her return just in time to help her pay for the bridesmaid dresses for the four upcoming weddings that she is in.
A constituent from Amityville was waiting on background check approval on a firearm purchase for 6 months due to a delay within the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) administered by the FBI. Our casework team reached out to the FBI and was able to resolve the issue quickly so that the constituent could complete the purchase of the shotgun he has been waiting to lawfully purchase. Andrew believes that individuals should not be subject to burdensome delays in the background check system.
Veterans should always have access to the healthcare they need. That's why, when a 90 year old veteran from Massapequa, was denied the medication he needed and bounced around to various doctors, my caseworkers got in touch with the VA and worked with them until his medication was approved and covered.
This week I was able to help four French firefighters secure approval to attend a 9/11 memorial walk in honor of the Long Island firefighters who gave their lives. A constituent and retired New York firefighter who is organizing the memorial event, reached out to my office on their behalf and my casework team was able to work with the State Department to ensure their application to come to the U.S. to attend the ceremony was processed in time.
Recently, there has been much confusion related to travel and renewing passports. My casework team was able to help several constituents receive clarity on whether or not they could travel to their desired destination with their current passport. In one case, a constituent saw a wide range of answers on the internet so she came to us to clarify which answer was correct. We were able to get in contact with the U.S. Embassy in Kingston, Jamaica, and verify that she would be able to travel to her destination and back.
A small business owner from Massapequa, New York contacted my office asking for help securing a COVID relief PPP loan to keep his business afloat with just days to spare. My team worked with the Small Business Administration (SBA) to get him his much needed loan just in time.
