Garbarino Helps Reunite a Family

December 12, 2021
Constituent Services

A U.S. citizen, single mother, healthcare worker, and Habitat for Humanity home recipient relies on her mother, a legal Green Card holder, for childcare for her two young children while she goes to work. Sadly, her mother has been separated from her father for many months because he was unable to join her in coming to America, but if her mother returned to Nigeria, she would have no childcare and be unable to continue her work as a healthcare provider. This constituent reached out to my office for help reuniting her family. We were able to work with the Nigerian Embassy and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services to approve his immigration application and allow him to be reunited with his wife, daughter and grandchildren.
