After almost a year of trying to obtain her benefit, my casework team got involved and was able to resolve the issue within a month and her benefit is being paid out.

This week I was able to help four French firefighters secure approval to attend a 9/11 memorial walk in honor of the Long Island firefighters who gave their lives. A constituent and retired New York firefighter who is organizing the memorial event, reached out to my office on their behalf and my casework team was able to work with the State Department to ensure their application
Recently, there has been much confusion related to travel and renewing passports. My casework team was able to help several constituents receive clarity on whether or not they could travel to their desired destination with their current passport. In one case, a constituent saw a wide range of answers on the internet so she came to us to clarify which answer was correct.
