Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Andrew R. Garbarino (R-NY-02) voted to end the 43-day Democrat shutdown, ensuring that servicemembers receive their paychecks, families continue to access nutrition assistance through SNAP and WIC, and vital veterans’ health programs remain funded.
Long Islanders made their voices heard this week. Across Nassau and Suffolk counties, more than 420,000 people turned out to vote. They showed once again that when local government works, our community stands behind it.
