Families return year after year to hear the names of their loved ones read aloud. We remember the 2,977 innocent people who were killed that day and the extraordinary bravery of the firefighters, police officers, first responders, and all Americans who put themselves in harm’s way to help others.

Garbarino (R-NY-02) and Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) introduced bipartisan, bicameral legislation to reimburse public employee retirement systems for costs associated with accidental disability retirements and accidental deaths resulting from the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.
