Rep. Garbarino Congratulates Local School Districts for Being Named Among the Best Communities for Music Education
MASSAPEQUA, NY - Today, Congressman Andrew Garbarino (NY-02) congratulates fourteen school districts in New York’s 2nd Congressional District for being honored as among the Best Communities for Music Education (BCME) by the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Foundation. The NAMM Foundation is a national non-profit focused on promoting the pleasures and benefits of playing music.
“Congratulations to each and every one of these Long Island school districts for receiving recognition for their excellence in music education,” said Rep. Garbarino. “For over a year now, a global pandemic has forced education, along with many other aspects of life, to take place from home. It has been hard on our teachers, school administrators, parents, and especially our students. It’s heartening to see that our schools can continue to provide quality education to students in all subjects, even in these unprecedented times.”
