Garbarino Votes To Pass The Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Tonight, the House passed the Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act by a bipartisan vote of 357 - 70. This bill extends pro-growth policies, revives conservative tax reform, allows small businesses to grow, and provides tax relief to Americans. Congressman Andrew R. Garbarino (R-NY-02) released the following statement regarding his vote:
“I voted for the Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act because it is good for Long Island. I support this bill’s pro-growth policies that would boost American competitiveness and strengthen Main Street while supporting families. As co-Chair of the SALT Caucus, I made it clear to leadership that providing SALT relief is a critical issue for my district and one that this Congress must deal with. I am a man of my word and have negotiated in good faith with the Speaker to secure a path forward on the SALT cap. Now that we have an opportunity to raise the cap, I urge my colleagues to join me in addressing the double taxation of our middle class and righting the wrong that was committed by penalizing Americans from high productivity, high cost of living states like New York should a measure on SALT be brought to the floor.”
