Garbarino Reappointed Chairman of the Subcommittee on Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Protection
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Andrew R. Garbarino (R-NY-02) is proud to continue his service on the House Committee on Homeland Security for a third term. In advance of the committee's organizational meeting for the 119th Congress, Chairman Mark E. Green, MD (R-TN-07), announced the new subcommittee leadership and majority membership. Rep. Garbarino was reappointed Chairman of the Homeland Security Committee's Subcommittee on Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Protection, as well as a member of the Subcommittee on Transportation and Maritime Security.
“Safeguarding our homeland, strengthening national security, and protecting Americans are not just priorities—they are a national imperative. That’s why I am proud to continue my service on the Homeland Security Committee, and particularly as Chairman of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Protection Subcommittee. In an ever-changing world, and in the face of escalating attacks by Salt Typhoon and other PRC-backed actors, we must stay vigilant and persistent in addressing emerging threats to ensure the safety, freedom, and prosperity of every citizen," Rep. Garbarino said. "I also look forward to serving on the Subcommittee on Transportation and Maritime Security, where my colleagues and I will continue working to strengthen port security and deter malign activity across our nation’s maritime borders. I am proud of the progress we have made in strengthening the resilience of our critical infrastructure and look forward to building on those efforts this Congress.”
