Garbarino to Help Lead Italian-American Congressional Delegation
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congressman Andrew R. Garbarino (R-NY-02) announced today that he will assume the role of Co-Vice Chair of the Italian-American Congressional Delegation during the 119th Congress.
“I am honored to take on the role of Co-Vice Chair and to be in a position to advance Italian-American priorities in Congress,” said Rep. Garbarino. “I take immense pride in my heritage and am committed to preserving the legacy of those who came before us. I look forward to working closely with the incoming Co-Chairs and the rest of the Italian-American Delegation to make a meaningful difference for our community.”
Representatives Michael Rulli (R-OH-06) and Rosa DeLauro (D-CT-03) will serve as Co-Chairs of the Delegation, with Representative Jimmy Panetta (D-CA-19) joining Rep. Garbarino as Co-Vice Chair.
The Italian-American Congressional Delegation is a bipartisan group of Members dedicated to advocating for the interests of Italian-Americans. The delegation collaborates with organizations to promote cultural preservation, recognize Italian-American heritage, and celebrate the community’s contributions to the United States. Through events, discussions, and policy initiatives, the delegation ensures that the voices of Italian Americans are represented in Congress.
