Garbarino Helps Connect Child to Lifesaving Donor

A constituent contacted my office about a 13-year-old child in a coma at Stony Brook Hospital who desperately needed a bone marrow transplant. The donor, a family member, was outside the country and required temporary admission to the U.S. to proceed with the donation. My casework team worked with the embassy to ensure the family member was granted entry, allowing Stony Brook's doctors to provide the lifesaving treatment.
