HONORING OUR VIETNAM VETERANS

There are over 230,000 Vietnam veterans in New York, including nearly 75,000 on Long Island alone. I want to honor those veterans who call our Second Congressional District home and make sure they know they have the thanks of a grateful nation for their service.

That is why I partnered with The United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration to recognize our Vietnam veterans with a commemorative lapel pin and certificate of special recognition as a token of our nation’s gratitude.

The United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration was created as a national 50th anniversary commemoration Presidential Proclamation in 2012 and concludes on Veterans Day 2025 with its primary objective being to thank and honor our Vietnam veterans and their families for their service and sacrifice on behalf of our nation.

If you served in the Vietnam War or have a family member who served, apply right away and a constituent services team member will contact you for more information. Please note, commemorative pins may be presented posthumously to family members.
